Locals, purchasers and potential residents alike got a real taste of life in Godalming at the unveiling of our new showhome at Ockford Park, with the help of local suppliers

Introducing guests to the delights of one of Surrey’s most picturesque towns, local award-winning farm shop, Secretts, were on hand to share a selection of delicious local cheeses, paired with a range of wines supplied by local merchants, Hawkins Bros. For those with a thirst to quench, mixologists from Spin and Shake were keeping guests hydrated with a selection of mocktails, as well as cocktails made with gin from the nearby Wessex Distillery.

Local gardener David Luscombe was also available to share his top tips on how best to maintain and enhance new gardens, as well as how best to feed the inspiration from Surrey’s leafy living into their own homes at Ockford Park. And interior designer, Fiona Hodges, of Dandy Designs, was also on hand to talk guests through her inspiration in creating a contemporary, liveable feel in the showhomes and answer any burning interior design questions too.

The development has been carefully designed to integrate with and support the surrounding environment. The showhomes at Ockford Park feature gardens with instant impact – created to encourage wildlife and pollination through the selection of plants that have been chosen such as Lavender, Sambucus and Hebe to the bee and hedgehog hotels hidden in amongst the design. The development will also feature a newly-built community centre, as well electric car charging points.

Two areas of Sustainable Alternative Natural Greenspace (SANG) have also been developed to preserve the Outstanding Natural Beauty of the Surrey Hills area. In partnership with The Land Trust, Eashing Fields has been created to encourage wildlife in the area and provide dog and family friendly circular routes, with stretching views of the South Downs National Park, Wey Valley, Peper Harrow and Hogs Back.

David Luscombe, owner of DJ Luscombe Garden Services in Godalming, said: “I was very pleased to have been invited as the proprietor of a local landscaping company to attend the show home launch at Cala Ockford Park in Godalming - and it was a great success.

"I was able to meet a lot of visitors at my stand as they came to purchase their new homes and it was great to have the opportunity to see the new development as it takes shape.

“I think it’ll be a wonderful asset to Godalming and the surrounding areas.”

Since the launch in December 2020, Ockford Park has proven to be a popular development with all homes for a 2021 move now reserved. Set on the cusp of Surrey’s green belt whilst being a stone’s throw from Godalming town centre and train station, residents have the best of both worlds – whether walking to nearby pubs and cafes, or along the newly built footpath linking the development to the local train station, with direct trains into London in under 45 minutes.

To get a glimpse of the lifestyle on offer at the development there are 2 ,3 and 4 bedroom showhomes, boasting high-specification finishes and carefully designed, light and spacious open plan living.

Prices at Ockford Park start from £437,500* for the two-bedroom Enton available with the Government’s Help to Buy scheme**, to £535,000* for a 3 bedroom, semi-detached Tunsgate.
