East Lothian's largest town will soon boast a new collection of high-specification family homes – as a development at its eastern edge launches to market.

Ravensheugh Brae by Cala Homes (East) will see the creation a long-awaited mix of 36 three, four and five bedroom homes from the developer’s latest “Light and Space Collection” – and marks a long-awaited return to Musselburgh for the developer.

As a result of the development’s planning agreement, £567,936 will be put towards improving the region’s schools and transport infrastructure – as well as Musselburgh and Tranent town centres.

Located on land to the north of the A199 Haddington Road, the well-connected set within a mature, tree-lined backdrop, creating a private, secluded and family-friendly feel.

Philip Hogg, Sales and Marketing Director with Cala Homes (East), said: “It is brilliant to be building in Musselburgh at what is set to become a fantastic development.

“The town has so much working in its favour, with a thriving high-street, famous food and drink destinations and access to a plethora of leisure activities.

“Of course, easy access to both Edinburgh and the East Lothian coast is another reason why the town is proving increasingly popular with buyers.”

Throughout the build the housebuilder is utilising the broad skills of local trades, with more than 10 contracts awarded to firms based in either East Lothian or the nearby Scottish capital.

This includes G&A Joinery from Prestonpans, Port Seton-based Signature Security Solutions and Terry Hill Plumbing and Heating from nearby Haddington.

With demand for its homes in East Lothian increasing following the reopening of the market, Cala has opted to launch the development digitally, with a dedicated sales advisor on hand at another East Lothian development. A show home and on-site sales office will launch this autumn.

Cala is also ensuring that the site’s natural characteristics become key assets. The current tree lined boundary will be retained and reinforced in places.

Ravensheugh Brae will also incorporate a network of streets, and lanes to create an attractive neighbourhood for families. Located a five minute walk from Wallyford Station with 10 minute train journeys to and from Edinburgh, the site is well served by existing public transport networks.

The plans build on the developer’s strong history of providing attractive communities across a range of sites in East Lothian. Over the past 30 years, Cala Homes (East) has successfully delivered 21 new neighbourhoods and more than 1300 family homes to the area.

Musselburgh is a historic town, famed for its harbour, golf courses and racecourse. Located on the famed East Lothian coastline, it sits just six miles from Edinburgh.

Homes at Ravensheugh Brae start from £325,000. To learn more or to book an appointment with the sales team, please call 01315 818 631 or visit our Ravensheugh Brae page.
