Prior to attending your property, our customer service team will call you to confirm arrangements with you, and to ensure that social distancing can be maintained during the works to your home.
To help keep you and your family, safe, they will ask some additional questions about your health, as well as the health of those living at the address.
Depending on your circumstances and the nature of the work, we may ask to undertake work whilst you’re not in the property, or that you remain in another part of the property until the work is complete.
On arrival, we’ll run through a few questions with you from a safe distance, this is to check that you’re comfortable for us to proceed, and to check that your circumstances haven’t changed since your appointment was booked. The team member attending your home will also confirm they are fit and safe to do so.
Our teams are fully briefed on the importance of hygiene and we have put in place measures to ensure that all operatives can wash or sanitise their hands, before entering your home.
Where possible, we’ll reduce the number of operatives attending your home. For some works, more than one operative will be required and in these instances, additional PPE will be worn.
Please be assured that an extended risk assessment procedure is in place for all works in occupied homes, to ensure works are carried out safely.
To help us while we work in your home, please open all doors leading to where the operative is working, prior to our arrival. This will help to reduce surface contact.
We also ask you to open windows in the area of work, to help with ventilation.
Once work is complete, our team will wipe down the surfaces where work has been undertaken. We’d advice that you clean relevant surfaces as an additional precaution, after our operative has left.
We hope you have found this information helpful but if you have any additional questions, please contact our customer service team.
Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time.
