Home owner Ronnie Kennedy was on the look-out for the ideal apartment situated within the West End of Glasgow to not only suit himself, but also his four-legged roommate, Floyd the dog.

Having grown up near Jordanhill before moving on to live in Broomhill, Ronnie knew the west end of Glasgow is exactly where he wanted to be.

Last December, he started house hunting and rather quickly he spotted the recently released Beech Collection at Jordanhill Park, by Cala Homes (West).

A mix of one and two-bedroom apartments – plus three-bedroom penthouses, located on popular Southbrae Drive, were available with many already built and ready to move in.

Ronnie said: “After doing my research online, I quickly came across Cala’s Jordanhill Park development and given my intention to move rather quickly, the online plot selector made starting the process really simple. I was able to browse the available apartments, and select my desired plot on the website – which meant arriving at the sales suite with my ideal apartment picked out.

“The sales team were brilliant, they were really well-informed and made the decision to buy really straightforward.”

Ronnie moved into his two-bedroom apartment in March 2020 just three months after originally reserving his plot.

He continued: “My goal was to find an apartment in a location which offered plenty of open green space for taking the dog out, and one which featured a lot of light. The Jordanhill location is perfect for anyone looking for the best of both worlds – an apartment with access to parks and plenty of outdoor space.”

Ronnie chose apartment type D – a two-bedroom situated on the ground floor, and featuring a terrace with easy access to the garden space.

The spacious apartment comprises an open plan living and dining area with a state-of-the-art Nolte kitchen, featuring top-quality Siemens appliances.

The living area also leads out to a bright terrace with a private garden area, with acres of lush, open parkland beyond.

Two well-sized bedrooms complete the apartment, both with built-in wardrobes and a stylish master en-suite.

Ronnie said: “The apartment really appealed to me because of the size, especially the hallway and bedrooms. I also love the fact that it is situated towards the back of the building which offers not only a garden space but some privacy.

“The large windows offer a lovely view outside to the garden and greenery whilst also allowing plenty of light to flood in, which is exactly what I had in mind.

“Working in the property industry and having had the pleasure of working alongside Cala Homes (West) before, I was well aware of the quality on offer throughout their properties.

“The fixtures and finishes are incredibly high-spec and exactly what you would expect from a Cala home, alongside additional benefits that just take the offering to the next level. The underfloor heating, for example, is ideal, especially in the bathroom in the mornings; and the amount of storage space is fantastic – not something you usually associate with new-build homes.

“Jordanhill allows me to live in the city without compromising on picturesque, green surroundings. I’m really pleased with how well Cala looks after the landscaped gardens and communal spaces, it really builds the character of the area.”

Just five apartments remain at Cala Homes’ prestigious Jordanhill Park development so those looking for the best of both worlds – city living with leafy surroundings – will need to act fast.

Purchasers can expect a mixture of one and two-bedroom apartments remaining, ideal for first-time buyers or downsizers.

A number of incentives are available and all homes are part of the ‘Ready for You’ collection, meaning homebuyers can buy and move in within a matter of months, just like Ronnie. For more information, visit our Jordanhill Park page or call the sales team on 0141 280 9513.
